Heywood's Blueberries started out as a few rows of about 50 plants. Since the initial plantings in 1985-1989, we have grown to approximately 1,200 plants on 1.2 acres.
Our field consists of two varieties of blueberries, BlueCrop and BlueRay. Both varieties produce large, juicy berries.
Our field is primarily a u-pick operation. We do offer pre-picked berries as time and crop permit.
We do not use any sprays on our berries
Our blueberry picking season extends from late July through the end of August (subject to weather patterns).
